BD-LG (Loop Goop)
Polyurethane Saw-Cut Loop Sealant with Flat 3/16" Sealant Tip

BD Loop Goop is a tough and durable polyurethane resin sealant designed to encapsulate, protect and insulate inductance loops for door, gate, and parking applications. Effectively seals out moisture and provides exceptional chemical resistance to de-icing salts, antifreeze, gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic brake fluid and other hydrocarbons. BD Loop Goop remains strong, flexible and resilient in cold weather. It provides superior adhesion to wires and saw cuts in concrete and asphalt. Application does not require mixing or heating. Permits vehicular traffic immediately after application (see BDLoops.com for installation tips) with no need for lane closure. DOT APPROVED by most States.

To get the most out of your tube of Loop Goop use with a 3/16" wide saw blade, and BD Loops 3/16" Preformed Saw-Cut Loops.

Each case of BD Loop Goop comes with a Sealant Saver.

Didn't finish off that tube of loop sealant? Use the Sealant Saver to extend the life of your left over BD Loop Goop!

Sealant is expensive and we know how frustrating it is having to through out perfectly good loop sealant because you didn't use the full tube.

This is why we created the Sealant Saver and started including it for free with cases of BD Loop Goop.

The Sealant Saver is made with durable PVC and is threaded to make screwing it onto tubes of BD Loop Goop easy. This handy Sealant Saver makes an air and water tight seal on your tubes of BD Loop Goop and dramatically extends its usable life.

Use a BD Loop Preformed Saw-Cut Loop and save up to 55 minutes in installation time per loop:

15 min Preformed Loop - no wrapping wires in the field.
10 min Loop and lead-in fit in same size groove - No double cutting!
10 min No need to twist lead-in wires.
5 min No need to install backer-rod.
15 min Seal Loop in one pass from the bottom up with included 3/16" flat sealant tip! Pointed tips seal the groove from the top down and require 2-3 passes to fully seal the groove.

For product handling and clean-up wear disposable latex gloves, rubbing alcohol helps clean up spills. If you are unsure if rubbing alcohol can be used on a surface/finish, first test clean a small inconspicuous area to see if damage occurs.

Coverage Per Tube/Case
(See image below)

It is always better to purchase 1 extra tube of BD-LG than to run out of Loop Goop on a jobsite and have to run back to your distributor.

Using a 3/16" wide blade over 1/4" blades will save you 25% in loop sealant.

DIRECTIONS

Surface preparation: Wash and blow out saw cuts with compressed air (such as the BD Loops Air Wand) to remove dust, debris and standing water.  It is recommended that ambient temperatures at the time of sealant application should not exceed 100°F (38°C) nor fall below 36°F (2°C). Do not apply to wet or icy surfaces. Curing time will be lengthened below 36°F (2°C) and shorted above 100°F (38°C).

Application:
Cut the tip of the Loop Goop cartridge using a safe tool. Tightly screw the disposable threaded nozzle in place and insert the cartridge into the caulking gun. Apply sealant from the bottom of the saw cut to within 1/8” (3.12 mm) of the roadway surface. Pneumatic and battery powered dispensing guns are available.

Curing:
Will skin over in approximately 3 hours at 77°F (25°C) and 50% R.H. Hotter, more humid weather speeds up curing; cooler, dryer weather slows it down. Full cure will take several days, however traffic is permitted immediately after application. See BDLoops.com for more installation tips and tricks.

Storage:
For maximum shelf life, store in a dry, cool place.
