Blade Type | Diamond Bond | When Used in Asphalt | When Used in Concrete |
Asphalt Part# SB-A | Hard Bond | The asphalt blade will have a long life and cut quickly because the hard bond will prevent the diamond layers from shedding quickly. | Will cut slow and eventually glaze up and stop cutting. The blade will continue to be unusable until it is run through an asphalt surface to deglaze the blade. |
Combo Part# SB-B | Medium Bond | Will cut asphalt slightly quicker than the specialized asphalt blade but at the cost of reduced life of the blade. | Will cut concrete but not as quickly as the specialized concrete blade. |
Concrete Part# SB-C | Soft Bond | Will quickly cut asphalt surfaces but will cause the blade to wear down rapidly and drastically reduce the life of the blade by shedding diamonds prematurely. | The concrete blade will have a long life and cut quickly because the soft bond will allows the diamonds to always be open and ready for cutting. |
