Sand Needed Calculator

This calculator is designed to determine the amount of sand needed to fill a trench when installing a BD Loops Preformed Direct Burial Loop.

Perimeter of Loop in FeetAdd up all 4 sides of the loop, example: 6+6+8+8 = 28

Length of Lead-in in FeetTrench length of the lead-in run. This is the distance from the loop to the operator/controller.

Width of Trench in InchesWidth of Trench for an inductance loop is commonly 2".

Depth of Trench in InchesTrench depth for an inductance loop is commonly 3"

Amount of Sand Needed in Cubic Feet:A 50lb bag of sand is roughly 0.5 cubic feet.
